Deployment strategies, project identification and execution...

  • Leadership: A one day executive overview is held with your senior management to address both "soft" and "hard" issues associated with Lean Six Sigma deployments. Success criteria of the workshop includes an understanding of your organization's productivity opportunities using information gained from analysis of financial and operations reports, analysis of value flow maps of major work streams as well as a deployment plan of your Lean Six Sigma program. Upfront work is required to collect and analyze information.

     

  • Champion: A two day, on-site corporate workshop that shows the basic Lean Six Sigma tools, methods and concepts every champion needs to be effective at project identification, the development of belt roles and responsibilities and the creation of deployment goals. The workshop is facilitated by a master black belt instructor through presentations, discussions and breakout exercises. At the end of the workshop participants receive a statement of attendance by Six Sigma Integration, Inc.  champion certification is company specific and normally depends on successful project identification, development of roles and responsibilities and deployment goals.

 

 

Productivity acceleration …

 

  • Operational Assessments:  We conduct financial and operational assessments to identify beneficial projects for your organization.  Deliverables include a deployment plan, written project charters and a return-on-investment (ROI). The time commitment for these activities varies.

 

  • Project Identification and Prioritization: This is a two day workshop. The first day trains your team on basic process improvement methods using an interactive simulation. The second day is focused brainstorming session to identify projects, prioritize them and organize them into work flows with owners.

 

  • Lean Six Sigma Project Audits and Tracking: If your projects are off track, we can help identify the causes for poor execution either on-site or remotely. 

 

  • Financial Analysis for Process Improvement: This is a one day workshop designed to increase the awareness of the relationship between top level financial metrics and process improvement projects. The goal is to reinforce the linkage between operational and financial performance to quantify and measure improvements. It is based on our book, Operational Excellence.

 

  • On-Site or Remote Coaching of projects, just in time training, brainstorming, and single point of use tool applications are available. This accelerates your deployment and reduces project completion time and expense.    

 

 

Six Sigma workshops …

 

  • Design for Excellence:   A five day workshop following our black belt training that shows key attributes of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) for services, supply chain and products e.g. the 5 design phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Design and Verify. Participants learn tools and methods to augment their design skills and apply these to design projects. Topics include: Translating critical-to-customer (CTC) requirements into specifications, CTC definitions, mean time before failure (MTBF), use environment, QFD matrix, data collection for QFD using benchmark, Axiomatic design, previous testing , competitive analysis, reliability analysis, MTBF calculation, life testing, failure reporting etc., risk analysis/ FMEA, simplification tools, Value Analysis, TRIZ-Inventive Problem Solving (brainstorming), generate concepts/ Pugh Matrix/ select concept, testing, experiments, simulations and transfer functions used to update specifications,  Fault Tree analysis, preliminary capability performance scorecard, creating a resistance analysis, creating an influence strategy, etc.

     

  • Black Belt:   A fifteen day, on-site workshop that shows the basic Lean Six Sigma tools, methods and concepts every black belt should know to be effective at project identification, analysis and execution. The workshop is facilitated by a master black belt instructor through presentations, discussions and breakout exercises. At the end of the workshop participants receive a statement of attendance by Six Sigma Integration, Inc. Black belt certification is company specific and normally depends on the execution of one or more applied projects at a black belt level of responsibility. 

     

  • Accelerated Lean Six Sigma Black and Green Belt:   This is a ten day on-site workshop. This intensive workshop discusses advanced Lean Six Sigma tools, methods and concepts every green belt and black belt should know to be effective at project identification, analysis and execution. Attendees need prior experience in quality assurance methods and statistics. The workshop is facilitated by a master black belt instructor through presentations, discussions and breakout exercises. At the end of the workshop participants receive a statement of attendance by Six Sigma Integration, Inc. Green belt and black belt certification are company specific and normally depend on the execution of one or more applied projects at a green belt or black belt level of responsibility... based on 15 years’ experience training green belts, black belts, champions and master black belts around the world. 

     

  • Green Belt:   A five day, on-site workshop. This workshop shows the basic Lean Six sigma tools, methods and concepts every green belt should know to be effective at project identification, analysis and execution. The workshop is facilitated by a master black belt instructor through presentations, discussions and breakout exercises. At the end of the workshop participants receive a statement of attendance by Six Sigma Integration, Inc.   • Value Stream Mapping/ Value Flow Mapping: A one day workshop to understand the essential elements for value stream and value flow mapping. Pre-work will be done to understand your operations to customize training to your needs.  

 

  • Mistake Proofing:  This is a one day workshop designed to demonstrate the essential elements of mistake proofing methods. Pre-work will be done to understand your operations.

 

  • 7S: A one day workshop to understand the essential elements of 7S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety, sustainability)  Pre-work will be done to understand your operations.  

 

 

Total Customer Experience (TCE)... 

 

  • Experience Mapping:  This is a one day on-site workshop to improve Total Customer Experience (TCE). We conduct customer and supplier interviews to establish goals, scope, stakeholders and success factors to identify key touch points as well as  performance  gaps. We work with your team, to create a TCE map identifying owners and touch points to form a basis for validating the TCE map. A critical outcome from this workshop identifies process improvements opportunities.


  • Analyzing Customer Loyalty Metrics for Improvement:  This is a two day on-site workshop exploring ways to use customer surveys, loyalty information and similar feedback from listening posts to improve Total Customer Experience (TCE). We review survey methodology, and advanced modeling to identify the drivers of customer satisfaction and loyalty. The prerequisite for the workshop is black belt training. This is a Minitab based workshop. A critical outcome from this workshop is to understand how to link survey information to process improvement opportunities.

  • Operations Research:   A three day specialized on-site workshop to create forecasts using time series, regression models and related methods... This workshop is based on 20 years teaching graduate classes. 

     

  • Economic and Financial Forecasting:  In this specialized workshop we show you how to create forecasts using time series, regression models and related methods. This workshop is based on more than 20 years teaching graduate classes. It presents forecasting methods used in business through hands on exercises using a proven text book and software.  Topics include error analysis, time series, multiple regression and econometric forecasting models including relationships.  Also, presented are combinations of forecasts, and miscellaneous, methods.  The workshop will be augmented using review articles and case studies covering current business econometric practice. This workshop is based on 20 years teaching graduate classes

 

  • Building Statistical Models: This three day on-site workshop is focused on the use Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Linear Regression (including logistical) and design of experiment (DOE) methods to solve problems using Minitab software.
